The diminishing role of health care at the federal level makes me concerned about the health and well being of all Texans in the future. I believe it’s time that we start to prioritize health over profit. As Texans, we need to consider what a basic health care plan looks like for all of us.
Effective law enforcement is important for our protection and the health of our legal system. As a survivor of domestic violence, I know that it doesn’t always work that way. I will work to help our legal process serve the good of everyone, including those underserved, marginalized, and oppressed families.
Years of budget cuts for our children’s education and services make the task of ensuring a positive future increasingly difficult. I believe the future of Texas children has been undercut for far too long. We need to focus on a future where those who are teaching and caring for our children receive the resources and funding they need to help our children be successful.
